He, then, changed some mechanics of the game and introduced to the people in Georgia.

Edwin S. Lowe - Lowe was a New York salesman, who just had established a toy company, traveling to Georgia. Lowe noticed that there was a huge crowd at the carnival where he was passing by. So, he decided to drop by and he learned that it was because of the new game called Beano. So, Lowe played Beano along with the seemingly addicted players who were willing to stay up to 3 am just to play the game. Lowe's fascination with the newly-discovered game made him decide to sell it to the American crowd.

Bingo - You maybe wondering how the game was known now as Bingo when in fact it was named by the caller as Beano. It was all because of Edwin Lowe's failure to hear the correct term. When Lowe was playing the game, a woman won the prize and she cried out, "Beano!" Lowe thought that the woman shouted "Bingo!" He liked the term so he used it as the official name of the game that he introduced to American consumers.
